If your starting hand is at least an Arvata, 2 FK 1800 monsters, Agnimazud, and a circle, (6th can be anything), that is easily 8300 damage if it's a clean monster field (Agnimazud can help with that due to its effect) Their OTK potential is really good if the opponent fails to set up their board correctly because the bricked (or you clear it effectively and they have no back row protection or negation). I'd like to experiment with rekindling more, but dumping fire monsters into the graveyard early is somewhat of a challenge (hence it's gradual card advantage style). Having alot of high star monsters can be problematic, but I've found that trade in and Kuji-kiri amulet are very good to compensate (and also adds circle targets to the gy) Even adding the abominable unchained soul has been beneficial in some games I'm experimenting with fire dog and naglfar as well. I've been playing with them exclusively online, and my build has some TK built in (Agnimazuds, Bahrastos, diagram, true kings return). Looking at budget youtube deck profiles, rekindling for link material or rank 4s is good. You need an earth engine or sufficient earth targets to activate the Lithosygm Extra Deck effect. A second point is that the true king cards and diagram let you play a limited copy of lithosygm and the fire true king. Where I would start theorycrafting (as I write this I am also thinking about it) is to making fire king a combo deck around rekindling. And many decks will just OTK you when youвЂ™re trying to gain card advantage slowly. Many boss monsters have immunity to destruction.

Off the top of my head, waiting turns to have effects pop off AND relying to mass destruction is weak ATM. And fire kings do have archetype support. I looked at it when I was considering buying Sacred Phoenix rituals, a cheap shiny deck. I got out of yugioh just when Fire King Garunix came out.
